Increasingly companies and governments are focusing on where products are made as a means of establishing trust. While this is seen as a simple way to increase trust in reality it is of little help. If products are not engineered to operate securely it makes no difference where work is done. The foundation of trust is based on the practices followed throughout development and deployment.
