As of today, a traditional mindset towards cloud environments can be formulated shortly as "we do not trust them". Since cloud provider's employees do not have access to private keys stored in a AWS CloudHSM, the latter can be considered as an island of trust in the ocean of fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) and eventually change the mindset described above.
