Suzanne Spaulding serves as Acting Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD). As Acting Under Secretary, she oversees Infrastructure Protection, Office of Biometric Identity Management and the Federal Protective Service, with a mission to reduce the risk to, and enhance the resiliency of critical infrastructure, secure federal facilities, and advance identity management and verification. Ms. Spaulding also oversees the efforts made by DHS Office of Cybersecurity and Communications.
Dr. Phyllis Schneck is Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity for NPPD at DHS. As the chief cybersecurity official for DHS, Dr. Schneck supports its mission of strengthening the security and resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure.
With new leadership overseeing DHS, next year promises to be a year of new priorities and vision. Ms. Spaulding and Dr. Schneck will share their insights into DHS cybersecurity priorities over the next year and beyond.
