'2nd-Wave' advanced threats are emerging as sophisticated attacks in which attackers change the game they can't win: Rather than evading attack-prevention and intrusion-detection tools, attackers are increasingly targeting security tools themselves. We discuss this growing threat and survey strategies and technologies for shield coating defense solutions to resist partial compromises and breaches.
