The infosec industry has gone gaga over big data analytics—and with good reason. But in the mad rush, new and classic methods of data analysis using small data—historically not the industry’s strong suit—have fallen even farther by the wayside. This talk will examine the state of security data analysis by analyzing the publications and demonstrating how small data still has big things to teach us.
