In today's economy debit/credit card transactions have replaced cash. Payment cards are quick, convenient and secure. PCI-DSS policies dictate card data must be encrypted if it is transmitted/stored. The Trackr malware family circumvents PCI-DSS compliance by scraping the RAM of PoS systems for card data. Trackr targets the back-end servers that process, store and transmit card data.
