Malware pattern recognition techniques have difficulties with new threats. Big Data and machine learning methods are able to relieve some of the hard work to fight them. Nevertheless, attackers know how to overcome security controls. If we narrow the scope of Big Data to the point where HUMINT is able to deal with it, we will take the best of these techniques and even improve them.
