Stock exchanges are constantly targeted by cyber attacks. In a sense they are an ideal target: they represent both a national symbol and cannot withstand the slightest service disruption. This presentation describes the hour-to-hour events experienced in real-life attacks on stock exchanges: the attack vectors, motivations, technical and financial impacts and the systematic and gradual mitigation.
