This session will show how malware is increasingly targeted at specific geographic regions, from banking trojans switching configuration files based on victim country, to ransom demands in Latvian, botnets that only target victims in Germany and many more examples. Attendees will also learn why regionalized malware is more effective, and what countermeasures need to be taken to beat it.
