Enterprises take months of testing to deploy official vendor patches, if these exist at all, providing a constant supply of ammo to attackers. What if researchers started creating unofficial patches that could be simply installed (and uninstalled) ahead/instead of official patches? Patches so small that anyone could review and test them, and that could be instantly applied and removed. It is time.
