The IoT is amazingly powerful and useful but not always safe to use. Most organizations with IoT implementations need to do a better job of keeping them secure. Stuxnet and BlackEnergy have shown that IoT systems can’t be adequately protected with software alone. Security software is easily bypassed by clever attackers, who can then remotely control physical systems.
