Popular libraries are used extensively in software applications to perform complex and useful tasks. However, vulnerabilities in the library can compromise the application. We will survey some techniques to protect applications from compromised/trojaned libraries including a recent development, Codejail, which allows transparent usage of binary libraries while ensuring application integrity.
