Worldwide spam levels have dropped more than 80% since 2007, due in large part to the takedown of major spam botnets like Mega-D, Rustock and Grum. While skeptics bemoan these takedown efforts as futile, this session will detail what it takes to bring down a global spam botnet, the real impact on worldwide spam and what we’ve learned from the complex operations of today’s biggest bots.
