The number of hackers around the world is set to proliferate coinciding with the mass migration to mobile devices. Building on 200 hours of interviews with hackers, this session reveals who they are, where they are coming from and why. Technological responses are no longer sufficient to the growing challenges facing cyber security – it is time for a broader sociological approach.
