Providing reliable identity information and access to online commerce are key steps in fighting fraud and poverty in emerging markets. In Nigeria, a multipurpose government-issued electronic identity card aims to bank the nearly 100 million unbanked citizens. This eID offers identity verification by one of the largest PKIs ever built. This session will focus on how technology can enable societal and economic growth.
