Ever since the term 'HTML5' came into the world, an immediate perception of insecurity trailed along. And how else could it have been, given the Web's terrible security track record? In this session, we will debunk common (in)security myths around HTML5. To do so, we demonstrate that the majority of the HTML5 APIs are, in fact, much more secure than the currently established practices on the Web.
